Baseball Recap: Buford Takes a Loss

Buford extended their losing streak to five on Friday, dropping them down to 7-12. They lost 8-0 to the Chesterfield Golden Rams. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-2 on Tuesday.

Buford saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Easton Rollings, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases.

As for Chesterfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 7.8 runs.

On Chesterfield's side, the result came thanks to Max Gulledge's shutout, as he gave up just five hits and racked up 13 Ks. Gulledge has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.
