Saraland put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 38-14 margin over the Theodore Bobcats. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Bobcats are ranked 27th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jamison Roberts was his usual excellent self, throwing for 308 yards and two TDs on only 19 passes, while also rushing for 43 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Those 308 passing yards gave him a new career-high. A healthy portion of Roberts' aerial production (103 yards to be exact) went to Sye Byrd, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Saraland's win bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Theodore, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 6-3.

Looking ahead, Saraland will take on Carver Montgomery at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Spartans are facing the Wolverines at the right time seeing as the Wolverines are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Theodore, they will challenge Blount at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
