Masconomet Regional has gone a perfect 7-0 against Ipswich recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Chieftains will square off against the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Masconomet Regional is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Billerica Memorial just ended the team's five-match winning streak on Monday. They came up short against the Indians, falling 3-0. The shutout was out of character for the Chieftains seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.

Meanwhile, Ipswich lost 3-0 to Hamilton-Wenham Regional on Monday.

Ipswich was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-19, 25-16.

Ipswich's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Masconomet Regional, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.

Everything went Masconomet Regional's way against Ipswich when the teams last played back in October of 2019, as Masconomet Regional made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chieftains since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
