Basketball Recap: Huntington Comes Up Short

Huntington lost against St. Albans back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Huntington Highlanders fell 36-28 to the St. Albans Red Dragons. The Highlanders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Among those leading the charge was Taylor Reed, who posted four points along with 14 rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in boards. Another player making a difference was Jaycee Elzy, who earned 12 points and eight rebounds.

Huntington's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for St. Albans, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-3.

Looking ahead, Huntington will face off against South Charleston at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for St. Albans, they will challenge Cabell Midland at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Albans is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.3 points per game this season.
