Softball Recap: Westbrook Takes a Loss

After flying high against Morgan on Tuesday, Westbrook came back down to earth. The Knights came up short against the East Hampton Bellringers on Wednesday, falling 14-2. The loss continues a trend for the Knights in their meetings with the Bellringers: they've now lost nine in a row.

Westbrook's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for East Hampton, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-11.

Westbrook does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Hampton, they will square off against Coventry/Windham RVT/Bolton/Lyman Memorial at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Patriots' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Bellringers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
