Basketball Recap: Saturday's Victory Is Open Door Christian's Seventh in Last Nine Outings

There's no place like home for Open Door Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They took down the Aquinas Knights 49-31 on Saturday.

Aquinas lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kimara Chance, who posted nine points and six steals. Chance is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Ward, who put up 13 points and three steals.

Open Door Christian has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. As for Aquinas, they dropped their record down to 5-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Open Door Christian will venture away from home to square off against Garrett Morgan at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Aquinas does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
