Recap: Centennial vs. David City

On Thursday, Centennial put the finishing touches on their 4th blowout victory of the season. They blew past David City 41-7. The win was familiar territory for Centennial, who now have eight in a row.

Centennial's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 21 points in the first half. David City countered with 7 points, leaving the score at 21-7 going into the half. Centennial put the matchup away in the third quarter with 14 points from the offense and zero points allowed from the defense.

No one put up better numbers for Centennial than senior Wyatt Ehlers, who brought his A game into the match. He passed for 287 yards and 4 touchdowns. If you haven't heard Ehlers's name lately, then you haven't been paying much attention: he has loomed large in their past eight games. Senior Jackson Hirschfeld was in the mix, too, providing Centennial with four touchdowns. They added further sheen to their flawless record, now 8-0. The loss dropped David City back to even at 4-4.

Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Centennial will be staying on the road next week, facing off against Twin River. As for David City, they will face off against North Bend Central.
