Basketball Game Preview: Joseph City Wildcats vs. Mogollon Mustangs + How To Watch

The Joseph City Wildcats will challenge the Mogollon Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Joseph City knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Mogollon likes a good challenge.

Joseph City took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 67-47 margin over St. Johns. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Eli James produced another solid effort going 15-for-21 en route to 32 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. The contest was his fifth in a row with at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cort Miller, who shot 50% from the field on his way to 15 points and eight assists.

Joseph City was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Mogollon had taken Round Valley down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Mustangs took a 56-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Elks. The loss was the Mustangs' first of the season.

Joseph City's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.2 points over those games. As for Mogollon, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Joseph City was able to grind out a solid victory over Mogollon when the teams last played back in January, winning 72-62. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
