Baseball Recap: Leon Has No Trouble Against Bay

Leon barely beat Bay the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Lions were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Tornadoes on Tuesday. Considering the Lions have won 12 games by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Kolbe Baker was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Kyland Keaton, who scored two runs.

Leon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Leon is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Bay, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Leon will head out to face off against Wakulla at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bay, they will venture away from home to challenge Lighthouse Private Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Stingrays' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Tornadoes' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
