Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Seymour). They put the hurt on the Green Bay United Gryphon with a sharp 28-0 victory on Friday. Give the Thunder's pitching crew some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Carson Staffeldt and Kobe Barth made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Staffeldt tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Barth tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. At bat, Staffeldt scored two runs while going 1-for-1, while Barth scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Seymour got a massive performance out of Cayden Staffeldt, who scored four runs while getting on base in four of his six plate appearances. Colten Nieland was another key player, scoring four runs while getting on base in five of his six plate appearances.

Seymour kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive matches.

Seymour's record now sits at 3-1. As for Green Bay United, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Seymour has already played their next game, a 10-9 win against West De Pere on the 12th. Green Bay United does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
