Baseball Recap: Collinsville Takes a Loss

Collinsville extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 11-16 in the process. They fell 7-3 to the O'Fallon Panthers. Surprisingly, this marked the Kahoks' sixth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Luke Robinson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Collinsville's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 6-3 (and 5-13 when he doesn't).

As for O'Fallon, their victory bumped their record up to 19-9. Surprisingly, this marked their sixth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

On O'Fallon's side, the team relied heavily on Brayden Robertson, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. Those three runs gave Robertson a new career-high.

Looking ahead, O'Fallon will be playing in front of their home fans against Father McGivney Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
