Everything went their way against the Maine East Blue Demons as the Taft Eagles made off with a 12-2 win. The high-scoring effort was just what Taft needed considering they were shutout in their previous matchup.
Henry Malarski and Roberto Gonzalez dominated on the mound. Malarski struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits, while Gonzalez pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (he also only allowed one walk).
At the plate, Evan Jocic was a standout: he scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Elias Nanos, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3.
