Bessemer City lost against Shelby two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bessemer City Yellow Jackets fell 80-68 to the Shelby Golden Lions.

Bessemer City lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jonathan Black, who on his way to 20 points and eight rebounds. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Tristen Gordon, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten assists.

Bessemer City wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 80-32 defeat against Corvian Community on the 25th. As for Shelby, they have also already played their next matchup, a 69-61 win against Burns on the 21st.
