Meanwhile, Grandview faced Rocky Mountain in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. Grandview came out on top against Rocky Mountain by a score of 56-43. The Wolves pushed the score to 52-30 by the end of the third, a deficit the Lobos cut but never quite recovered from.

Grandview pushed their record up to 22-3 with the victory, which was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.6 points over those games. As for Denver East, their win bumped their record up to 17-8.
