Basketball Game Preview: Neoga Indians vs. Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley Falcons

The Neoga Indians and the Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley Falcons will face off at 10:00 a.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Neoga is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Neoga's tournament run continued when they took on Clinton on Thursday. Neoga took a 59-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Clinton. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 397th, while the Maroons are ranked 173rd).

Meanwhile, couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2024 than the 64-18 stomp they got against Paxton-Buckley-Loda. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 20 points or more this season.

Neoga now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley, their victory bumped their record up to 10-1.
