Holy Cross had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Plainville Blue Devils 26-4 on Wednesday.

Gina Barry was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Barry was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in five of her six plate appearances.

In other batting news, Holy Cross got a massive performance out of Haley Dibona, who fired off two home runs, four runs, and four RBI while going 4-for-5. Another player making a difference was Darby O'Connell, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs.
