Volleyball Recap: Wheaton Academy Comes Up Short

Wheaton Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Chicago Wildcats. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

While Wheaton Academy ultimately came up short, they really made West Chicago work, particularly in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 26-24.

Wheaton Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 15-13. As for West Chicago, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-17.

Looking ahead, Wheaton Academy will challenge Bishop McNamara at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for West Chicago, they will square off against Elgin at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
