Basketball Recap: Conneaut Takes a Loss

Conneaut was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Harding Skippers 70-29. The Spartans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 52-17.

Harding's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Shane Greenwood led the charge by going 6 of 11 on his way to 18 points. The dominant performance gave Greenwood a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlie Beardslee, who posted 11 points and eight rebounds.

Conneaut's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Harding, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.

Conneaut didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 78-60 defeat against Edgewood on the 7th. As for Harding, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 64-52 win against Mathews on the 8th.
