Soccer Game Preview: Pajaro Valley vs. Rancho San Juan

The Pajaro Valley Grizzlies will challenge the Rancho San Juan Trailblazers at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Pajaro Valley's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Last Tuesday, neither Pajaro Valley nor Watsonville could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Rancho San Juan had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They never let Salinas onto the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Thursday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Trailblazers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 912th, while the Cowboys are ranked 441st).

Pajaro Valley's draw makes their record 1-7-6 this season. As for Rancho San Juan, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4-1 and their overall record up to 4-8-1.
