Benicia is 10-0 against Mt. Diablo since February of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Benicia Panthers will host the Mt. Diablo Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Benicia and 11 for Mt. Diablo.

On Friday, Benicia didn't have quite enough to beat College Park and fell 67-65. While the Panthers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Falcons 19-13 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, Mt. Diablo played a tough contest on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Campolindo, falling 92-14. The Red Devils were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 64-14.

Mt. Diablo's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Benicia, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.

Everything came up roses for Benicia against Mt. Diablo in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as the team secured an 82-21 victory. Will Benicia repeat their success, or does Mt. Diablo have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
