Volleyball Recap: Putnam Vo-Tech Comes Up Short

Putnam Vo-Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Westfield Bombers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Beavers of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-10, 25-12.

Leading Westfield to victory were Nolan Rodgers and Arlen Messier. Rodgers had ten digs and three aces, while Messier had five digs. Rodgers is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had ten or more in each of the last nine games he's played dating back to last season.

Putnam Vo-Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Westfield, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Putnam Vo-Tech will be playing at home against West Springfield at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Westfield, they will square off against Frontier Regional at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
