Basketball Game Preview: Spooner Rails vs. Webster Tigers

Spooner and Webster are an even 3-3 against one another since January of 2017, but not for long. The Spooner Rails will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Webster Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Spooner is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Spooner came up short against Chetek-Weyerhaeuser and fell 44-32.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Webster). They blew past Hurley, posting a 71-41 win. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 30 points or more this season.

Spooner's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Webster, their victory was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1.

Things could have been worse for Spooner, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 63-49 loss to Webster when the teams last played back in January.
