Basketball Recap: Sparta Comes Up Short

Sparta came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They had to suffer through a 64-31 loss at the hands of the Coopersville Broncos. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Broncos recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Sparta's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Coopersville, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Sparta will face off against Kenowa Hills at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Coopersville, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Potter's House Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
