Preview: Richland Royals vs. Frisco Raccoons

The Richland Royals will be playing in front of their home fans against the Frisco Raccoons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Richland has ten straight victories, Frisco has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Richland can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Molina 51-17 on the road. Richland's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Michael Turner continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 132 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. Turner has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Drew Kates, who threw for 186 yards and two touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes.

Meanwhile, Frisco ended up a good deal behind Wakeland on Friday and lost 42-24. Frisco has not had much luck with Wakeland recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Richland pushed their record up to 10-0 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-9 Turner and 1-9 Adams (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 23.3% over those games). As for Frisco, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
