Soccer Game Preview: North Shore vs. Humble

The North Shore Mustangs are taking a road trip to face off against the Humble Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. North Shore's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

If Humble heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when North Shore took over last week. North Shore skirted past Memorial 2-1. That's two games straight that North Shore has won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Humble had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.3 goals) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They never let the Mustangs onto the board and left with a 3-0 victory. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 44th, while the Mustangs are ranked 241st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Humble pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those four matches. As for North Shore, they now have a winning record of 4-3-1.
