On Saturday, Salmen had to settle for second even though Kendal Thomas put up the best numbers she has all season. Thomas went 13 of 28 on her way to 35 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Thanks to that strong showing, she's now averaging 15.7 points per game. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Thomas and Salmen will take on Slidell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Salmen will be headed into this one with a sizable disadvantage in the rankings (they're ranked 92 places lower in Louisiana), but they're not letting that get them down.
