Soccer Game Preview: Libertyville vs. Glenbrook South

The Libertyville Wildcats will square off against the Glenbrook South Titans at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Libertyville sitting on eight straight victories and Glenbrook South on three.

Libertyville is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Everything went their way against Palatine as they made off with a 5-1 win. The result was nothing new for Libertyville, who have now won ten matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Palatine with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Shea Krakowski (3), Charlotte Harrison, and Danica Meller.

Meanwhile, Glenbrook South kept a clean sheet against Stevenson on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Patriots 1-0. That's two games straight that Glenbrook South have won by just one goal.

Libertyville's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-1-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 36 goals over those five games. As for Glenbrook South, their victory bumped their record up to 10-6-5.

Libertyville beat Glenbrook South 2-0 in their previous meeting back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
