North Central proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by 14) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Chesterfield Golden Rams, sneaking past 6-4. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Lillian Hope Alexandria Bell was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2025. Another player making a difference was Josie Jackson, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
North Central's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
They will have a chance to go back-to-back against Chesterfield: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
