Basketball Recap: Coon Rapids Comes Up Short

Coon Rapids was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by the Anoka Tornadoes 77-48. If the Cardinals were looking for revenge after losing 95-73 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Coon Rapids' loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Anoka, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-3.

Coon Rapids and Washburn will round out the year against one another at at 7:00 p.m. on December 28th. As for Anoka, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Providence Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
