Softball Recap: Newton Falls Comes Up Short

Newton Falls lost against Garfield back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Tigers came up short against the G-Men, falling 13-3.

Newton Falls saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Garro, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double. That double was Garro's first of the season.

Newton Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 5-7-1. As for Garfield, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-6.

While Newton Falls had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
