The scorekeeper got an easy start on Saturday as neither Hart nor Santa Paula made it on the board until the sixth inning. The Hawks had just enough and edged out the Cardinals 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Hawks have posted since April 25, 2025.

Cayden Kollasch tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits (and only one walk). Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jayz Torres, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Hart's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Santa Paula, their record is now 0-2.
