Basketball Recap: BASIS Takes a Loss

BASIS was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Capital City Public Charter School EAGLES and fell 75-39. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Giants this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 72-48 back in January.

When it comes to explaining why BASIS lost, don't look at Timothy Chamberlain II. Despite the final result, he posted 28 points. That was a full 71.8% of BASIS's points, marking the 14th time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.

BASIS's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Capital City Public Charter School, their win bumped their record up to 7-13.

BASIS will challenge DC International at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. DC International will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something BASIS surely won't give up without a fight. As for Capital City Public Charter School, they will take on E.L. Haynes at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
