Volleyball Game Preview: Seattle Academy Cardinals vs. Holy Names Academy

The Seattle Academy Cardinals will head out on the road to take on Holy Names Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Seattle Academy is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.

It was a proper cat-fight when Seattle Academy faced off against Lakeside on Saturday. The Cardinals fell 3-1 to the Lions. While the Cardinals didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Lions 25-19 in the first set.

Seattle Academy started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 26-24, 25-14, 25-19.

Despite their defeat, Seattle Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Gabriela Bunin, who had 21 digs and two assists, was perhaps the best of all. Maeve Campbell was another key player, getting 35 assists and eight digs.

Meanwhile, Holy Names Academy also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Seattle Prep by a score of 3-1. Holy Names Academy hasn't had much luck with Seattle Prep recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Seattle Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Holy Names Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
