Volleyball Recap: Middleton Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Middleton can now relate to. They came up short against the Shelley Russets on Saturday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Vikings have suffered since October 4th.

Among those leading the charge was Ashtyn Davis, who had 16 digs. She has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more digs the last 16 times she's played.

Middleton's defeat dropped their record down to 25-11. As for Shelley, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That lines up perfectly with their 27-9 record this season.

Middleton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Shelley, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Lakeland on the 1st.
