Karson Johnson posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Tuesday. He struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

Johnson's strong effort led Dewey over Keys and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars are limping into the matchup having lost ten straight at home dating back to last season.
