Recap: Round Top-Carmine Cubs vs. Alpha Omega Academy Lions
The Round Top-Carmine Cubs kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of Alpha Omega Academy by a score of 56-54.
Alpha Omega Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maddie Wallace, who scored 22 points along with 5 rebounds. The game was Wallace's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Savannah Valles, who scored 18 points along with 4 blocks.
Round Top-Carmine's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Alpha Omega Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.
Round Top-Carmine will head out on the road to face off against Buckholts at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Alpha Omega Academy, they will take on North Zulch at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
