Rancho extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 6-12. They came up short against the Green Valley Gators, falling 10-0. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

As for Green Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 16 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.1 runs over those games.

For Green Valley's part, Joseph Lusch made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. Lusch has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs.
