It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Curwensville can now relate to. They fell just short of the Redbank Valley Bulldogs by a score of 3-1 on Monday. The Golden Tide's defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Curwensville saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Tkacik, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Curwensville's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Redbank Valley, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 14-8.

As of now, neither Curwensville nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
