Volleyball Recap: Deer Valley Comes Up Short

Deer Valley lost against Clayton Valley Charter back in September of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Wolverines fell just short of the Ugly Eagles by a score of 2-1.

Paris Williams paced Deer Valley's offense, picking up seven kills. Williams got some help from Gabriella Duarte and her 14 assists. Williams was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Deer Valley has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season. As for Clayton Valley Charter, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-7.

Deer Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Pittsburg on the 14th. Clayton Valley Charter has also already played their next match (against Alhambra), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
