Volleyball Game Preview: Northeastern Knights vs. Knightstown Panthers

The Northeastern Knights will square off against the Knightstown Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Northeastern is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Eastern Hancock just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Royals.

While Northeastern was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by exactly three points. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-22.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Knightstown took on Hagerstown on Monday. The Panthers lost 3-0 to the Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Panthers have suffered since September 3rd.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-21, 25-16.

Knightstown's defeat dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Northeastern, their loss dropped their record down to 12-5.

Everything went Northeastern's way against Knightstown in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Northeastern made off with a 3-0 victory. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
