Baseball Recap: Tomball Kings Triumphs

Tomball Kings was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Cypress Christian on Saturday. The Homeschool's pitcher stepped up to hand the Warriors a 10-0 shutout. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Homeschool's hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Brennan Zarro was excellent, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs and one double. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

Tomball Kings always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .519. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win got Tomball Kings back to even at 2-2.

Looking ahead, Tomball Kings will square off against Bay Area Christian at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Cypress Christian, they will face off against Fort Bend Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
