Softball Recap: Combs Takes a Loss

Combs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the ALA - Queen Creek Patriots, falling 16-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 23-3 last Tuesday.

Combs saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elliana Snyder, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

Combs' defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for ALA - Queen Creek, the win got them back to even at 11-11.

Looking ahead, Combs will venture away from home to face off against Eastmark at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Firebirds will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Coyotes surely won't give up without a fight. As for ALA - Queen Creek, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, an 11-1 loss against Flagstaff on the 12th.
