Basketball Game Preview: Hazen Wildcats vs. Bellows Free Academy Bullets

Hazen is 8-2 against Bellows Free Academy since January of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Hazen Wildcats will host the Bellows Free Academy Bullets at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Hazen is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Vermont's top teams: Thetford Academy, who was ranked tenth at the time (Hazen was ranked 17th). Hazen fell to Thetford Academy 66-61. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, it's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bellows Free Academy can now relate to. They had to suffer through a 59-30 loss at the hands of the Trojans. The matchup marked the Bullets' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Bellows Free Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season. Hazen's loss dropped their record down to 15-6.
