Baseball Game Preview: James Logan Colts vs. Washington Huskies

For the second straight game, James Logan will face off against Washington. The Colts will venture away from home to challenge the Huskies at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. James Logan is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

On Wednesday, James Logan beat Washington 8-3. The Colts haven't had any issues with the Huskies recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Keoni Speakman tossed a big game, striking out six batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits (and only one walk). Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, James Logan got a massive performance out of Lester Miranda, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that Miranda hit this season. Another player making a difference was Jordan Medina, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

James Logan was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Washington only posted a batting average of .241.

James Logan pushed their record up to 9-7 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.4 runs over those games. As for Washington, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.
