Baseball Recap: Hanover-Horton Takes a Loss

Hanover-Horton made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Lumen Christi Catholic, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Comets fell just short of the Titans by a score of 12-10 on Saturday. The Comets have struggled against the Titans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Aiden Zeffries stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he went 2-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base. Braylon Sayles also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Hanover-Horton's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Lumen Christi Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season.

While Hanover-Horton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
