North Tahoe had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They blew past the Silver Stage Nighthawks 14-3. Considering the Lakers have won 12 matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Oscar Whelan made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Peter Rusek was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Noah Glickman, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.

North Tahoe always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Silver Stage only posted an OBP of .375.

North Tahoe's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-6. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Silver Stage, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-19.

North Tahoe does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Silver Stage, they will take on Pershing County at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Nighthawks surely won't give up without a fight.
