Softball Recap: Pawnee Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Pawnee waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Litchfield Purple Panthers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Indians also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Pawnee pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Litchfield, their loss was their first of the season and also makes their record 5-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pawnee will challenge Carlinville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Litchfield, they will square off against Civic Memorial at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
