Taconic is a perfect 10-0 against Drury since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Thunder will head out to face off against the Blue Devils at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Taconic proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 15) and on Sunday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Ware 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Thunder have posted since April 2nd.

Meanwhile, after only one run in their last game, Drury made sure to put some runs up on the board against Smith Academy on Friday. The Blue Devils put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 11-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Blue Devils, who have now won seven contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Brayden Durant made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Durant was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on JJ Prenguber, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and three RBI. He also hit a triple, marking his first of the season. Julian Faliciano was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Taconic's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-6. As for Drury, their record is now 10-1.

Everything went Taconic's way against Drury when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Taconic made off with a 14-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Thunder since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
