Softball Recap: Zillah Takes a Loss

Zillah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the Warden Cougars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Leopards of the 15-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2019.

Zillah's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Warden, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Zillah will square off against Selah at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Leopards' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 13.9 runs per game this season. As for Warden, they will take on Columbia at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
