Soccer Game Preview: Warwick vs. Denbigh

Warwick has gone a perfect 10-0 against Denbigh recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Raiders will face off against the Patriots at 4:00 p.m. Warwick's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Warwick and Woodside have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Monday. The Raiders lost 8-0 to the Wolverines. While losing is never fun, Warwick can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 271st, while Woodside are ranked 82nd).

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Denbigh's offense. They fell just short of Hampton by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday.

Warwick's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Denbigh, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9-1.

Warwick skirted past Denbigh 2-1 when the teams last played back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
